Matt Lyons
Director

Matt joined Ārahi in 2024 and is a Director of the Ārahi Method and Content (AMAC) team.  

Matt’s experience of 25 years working in private equity, supports the crafting of Value Creation plans and Board Packs, creating world class materials, presentations, data and analysis, enabling management teams, boards members, and investors to be armed with the information needed for optimum performance and decision making.  

Matt is formerly a Partner at the private equity firms Vespa Capital and Montagu Private Equity where he began in 1999. Both firms, quite rightly, hold high quality reputations within their respective target markets having delivered consistently high returns for their investors. Over this period, Matt’s deep domain understanding has been forged over more than 30 transactions, across Europe. In the process, he has built up a strong track record of delivering excellent returns. 

Prior to this Matt arranged senior debt for buy-outs at Mizuho and started his career with PwC, particularly enjoying his time with internal professional training. 

He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol and is a qualified ACA, having trained with PwC.
